George Sherman - The Treasure of Pancho Villa (1955)

During the Mexican Civil War, mercenary Tom Bryan (Rory Calhoun) hires-out to a band of revolutionaries headed by patriot Juan Castro (Gilbert Roland). They steal a gold shipment from a government train, gold that Castro intends to deliver to revolutionary leader Pancho Villa. Pursued into the mountains by the Mexican Army, the two men clash over ideology, the gold and American school-teacher Ruth Harris (Shelley Winters).
Note that Calhoun's way-cool "cucaracha" - a Lewis machine gun - was contemporaneous to the later stages of the Revolution, being manufactured in the US from 1917.
